what i'm up to: finally!

I'm SO THRILLED to announce that the premiere issue of The Buzz was released here at Boston University yesterday. It looks so FABULOUS and Allie and I are so thrilled to be sharing it with everyone!

We've received TONS of positive feedback and can't wait to continue producing magazines for our fellow BU students! Look out for posts of pictures from the mag--so so fabulous!!

nail polish giveaway!

Attention Neon Tea Party lovers! I have a special treat for you all today: I am doing a nail polish giveaway, courtesy of Karma Organic Spa!!

When I was home for Thanksgiving, my mom and I stopped in Bendel's for a little window shopping and ended up talking to Nausil Zaheer, creator of Karma Organic Spa and their fabulous all-natural, chemical-free nail polishes. After my mom informed him of my blog, he offered me two bottles of nail polishes for a giveaway and one to keep for myself. I guess he thought I was legit after we discovered that we have both worked with stylist Sabina Schreder. (Nausil has done nails for many of her shoots and I assisted her on two shoots this summer!)

I am giving away one bottle of a shiny amethyst color called MIDNIGHT PASSION and a bright matte teal called SAFETY ZONE. I've been sporting MIDNIGHT PASSION all week and I'm loving it!!

So how do you get your hands on one of these babies??

time out: phoenix à paris

Just got home from the Phoenix/Spoon/Passion Pit show, and let me just say that I'm more in love with Phoenix than ever before! They recently announced their short European tour in March and will be in Paris when I'm there!! CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT!! Anyone wanna come with?!

I remember the first time I saw Tarina Tarantino's collection of funky, chunky, sparkly, colorful costumes jewelry. I was 15 years old and sitting in the kitchen of the family whose kids I used to babysit and spent a good hour looking at every single item on her glorious website. I couldn't stop staring at the rhinestones, carved roses and buddhas and the Hello Kitty collection! Oh and that magnificent orchid hairpin covered in rhinestones! How I coveted it all! Not to mention the wedding photos she posted on her site--everything in pinks, oranges and purples, hot pink roses, Chinese lanterns, string lights! Her wedding will forever inspire the images I have of my own!

Okay, I'm getting carried away, so back to the point of my post: TARINA TARANTINO IS COLLABORATING WITH SEPHORA!! Imagine her bright colors and glitter all over your face!! Not to mention the adorable packaging!! I must pick up SOMETHING from this collection! Bubble gum pink lipstick? Sparkly purple eyeshadow? What to choose, what to choose?!
