time out: tatz

I have a love-hate opinion on tattoos.

First of all, I would NEVER get one myself. I am Jewish and this is against my religion, but also, I would never want to make that commitment and know that anything I got now would look ridiculous in 20+ years.

That being said, I can't help but draw tattoos on myself every day. In summer, while wearing sandals and flats, I will always draw three stars on my foot. This was an obsession that began in middle school when I saw a prom editorial in Seventeen magazine where the model had three perfect stars--one blue, one pink, one yellow--on her foot. Seven years later I am still drawing the same "tattoo."

Recently, however, I have began writing script phrases on my left arm and wrist. You can often find the words "Je T'aime" and "L'amour" scribbled on the crook of my elbow or hidden under my stack of bracelets. The following pictures were inspiration for this terrible habit of writing on myself in pen ink:

Pen ink will just have to do until I decide that tattoos really aren't for me!

Peace, Love and Neon,
Marisa
