I find myself running to Franprix 2-3 times a week to pick up those few things that I've run out of during the week--not to mention my boulangerie runs ever other day to grab a fresh baguette for sandwiches. There's something wonderful about having a special diet in the places you spend enough time to create a new diet. Things I eat here in Paris, I don't eat as much when I'm at home. Same goes for the food in my fridge at school vs. the food in my fridge at home. Certain foods, for example, fresh pears and Président chèvre, will forever remind me of this semester abroad. Below, I have compiled my complete grocery list that I maintain while in Paris. I'm not sure that you all care, but I love making lists and I love food, so this part is mostly for myself. :)
-Fromage blanc (France's version of Greek plain yogurt)
-Bonne Maman brand jam (I've tried a different flavor each time)
-Fitness cereal (a sweeter, crunchier version of Special K)
-Bananas
*I mix these 4 ingredients together every morning to make a yummy, filling breakfast, which I believe will never taste as good anywhere else in the world.
-Pears
-Fresh baguette (usually from Secco, the boulangerie by the métro stop I take to get home from school)
-Pesto
-Tomato sauce
-Frozen mixed vegetables
-Artichoke hears
-Tuna
-Various cheeses (chèvre, camembert, comté râpé, tomme noire, jarred seasoned feta, want me to keep going?)
-Mini toasts
-Milk
-OJ
-Pureed veggie soup-in-a-box (Pick your flavor: Green or Orange? I like both!)
-Bag of greens (Mesclun mix or Arugula)
-Grape tomatoes
-Chocolate with hazelnuts (Best when refrigerated)
-Instant coffee (Gross, but I need something to do the trick.)
-Green Mint tea
-Pasta (duh)
...and last but not least
-WINE!
So when I'm not eating out with friends or treating myself to a pastry from a local patisserie, I am most likely eating a mixture of these things. I'm making myself hungry for dinner now! Hmm... Arugula salad with tomatoes and comté râpé with a side of orange soup and a piece of baguette? Yes please!

Sister- you're in Paris. Have better coffee. Check this out for tips:

Buy a pound of ground beans from a good coffee place. Buy filters (like 2 dollars for 100 of them prolly). Buy a single cup coffee filter cone, and you have bomb coffee for the same amount of work as pouring boiling water over instant. Hella worth it.
Its like the chemex thing they talk about-
also- we should chat before your Amsterdam trek cuz i got tips like whoa
